What types of surgeries do I perform?
I perform a wide range of surgeries, from those performed on the ocular surface to complex retinal cases.
Refractive surgery: To eliminate the need for glasses or contact lenses.
ICL lens implantation: Surgery to correct high myopia. Crosslinking: To prevent the progression of keratoconus. Corneal transplant: In cases of significant corneal damage. Pterygium resection: Complete removal of pterygium.
Cataract microsurgery: Cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation.
Retinal detachment surgery: Reattachment of the retina. Macular surgery: Surgery for macular holes and membranes. Surgery for diabetic retinopathy: Blood removal and diabetes stabilization.
Macular buckle: Patients with high myopia and retinal detachment.
What is ophthalmic surgery like, and what does the patient feel? These are outpatient surgeries with a short stay, lasting between 30 minutes and 3 hours depending on the case. An anesthesiologist is present at all times monitoring the surgery, ensuring the patient feels no discomfort. At the end of the surgery, an eye patch is applied, and there is a follow-up appointment the next day.
